Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana was just named Best Restaurant in the world at the Top 50 World Restaurants awards. This is the first time an Italian restaurant has been awarded this prestigious recognition and it provides all Italians with a great deal of joy and pride.

Trois Mec is the brainchild of French Chef Ludovic “Ludo” Lefebvre a classically trained chef who studied under such culinary masters as Pierre Gagnaire, Marc Meneau and Alain Passard. Chef Ludo left the world of haute cuisine and moved to Los Angeles where he made a name for himself with his Pop-up restaurant concepts which were quite popular several years ago throughout the city.
I have found that as my diet shifts from the dishes I have enjoyed all my life based on my many years living in Italy, I find it more and more challenging to find dishes that don’t bring me back to a good plate of pasta or to many of the usual dishes I cooked for myself in the past.
Besides being named one of the top ten most livable cities in the world, Kyoto is also a major center of culinary delights offering a variety of opportunities to not only try traditional Japanese cuisine but also experiment with some of the most creative and bold fusion restaurants anywhere in the world.
My brother has asked me to submit a post with my recipe for Spaghetti Alle Vongole, so this entry is dedicated to him and to all the spaghetti alle Vongole we have enjoyed together, especially under the bright sunshine of Capri.
