Emilia Romagna, the culinary capital of Italy where Prosciutto, Parmigiano, Culatello and many other Italian delicacies originate from – the home of Fettuccine alla Bolognese and Tortellini in Brodo. Now, all of these delights can be part of an extravagant food tour sponsored by my blog and organized and conducted by Dragonfly Tours Italy, one of the country’s top tour operators specializing in personalized experiences in Italy.

In October 2016, we will be offering a very special tour for a small group of between 12 and 16 people that we will lead through the Emilian countryside, savoring a variety of local delicacies and visiting some of the most exclusive and specialized artisans in the area. In addition, we will provide intimate tours of Modena, Bologna and Parma not only walking through the streets and tasting local bites, but also taking in the beauty and magnificence of the local art and history.

Take a beautiful boat ride up the Po River, if we’re lucky the fog will be moving in and the atmosphere will be magical. Walk through vineyards centuries old and savor balsamic vinegar that has aged for over 35 years. We will organize a cooking class conducted by yours truly where we will have at our disposal a wonderful kitchen to create delicious dishes. Have your meals at some of the most unique restaurants of the region, culminating on our final evening at the 3 Michelin Star Osteria Francescana, an experience you will find hard to forget.

The tour will start in Rome, where we shall feast and provide you with an introductory presentation of the tour and what you will experience along the way.. We will then ride up the Autostrada in a comfortable luxury mini bus to the Emilian countryside where you will lodge in one of the most unique hotels in the area, full of charm, mystery and local atmosphere.

For the next 5 days you will be led, by myself, a 25-year resident of Italy and native speaker, and another of the principle owners of Dragonfly Tours Italy, through the region, experiencing some of the most unique and delicious flavors of Italy.

This will be a very exclusive experience for a small group of food enthusiasts. All services will be taken care of for you and every detail will be carefully looked after.
